Google Chrome

  1. If you do not have Google Chrome, download it here.
  2. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Chrome app Chrome.
  3. Go to the web page with the file that you would like to download.
  4. Tap the file you that you would like to download.
  5. At the bottom, tap Download.
  6. After the download finishes, tap Open in.
  7. Choose to open the file in Google Drive or another app.

To cancel a download that’s in progress, tap Cancel Cancel.

Firefox

If you do not have Firefox for iOS – you can download it here.

Download files

  1. Tap the download link on a web page to bring up the download prompt.You can also tap and hold on any link to download a file.
  2. Tap Download Now in the prompt that appears at the bottom of the screen.

  3. A progress bar will appear to show you the status of your download. To cancel the download, tap the X to the right of the progress bar.
  4. When your download is complete, a Downloads button will appear.

Access downloaded files later

  1. Tap the menu button at the bottom of the screen (the menu will be at the top right if you’re using an iPad):

  2. Tap Library 57 library icon .
  3. Tap the Downloads icon download icon 57 .
  4. After the download finishes, tap Open in.
  5. Choose to open the file in Google Drive or another app.
